Mother-Daughter Missoni Style

Who can forget the fashion frenzy that was last fall's Missoni for Target collaboration? The collection infamously crashed the Target web site and some stores sold out within minutes (but did you know you can still score select items from the collection on Target's web site?)

Of course, Missoni, the nearly 60-year-old Italian fashion house, is celebrated for its iconic colorful zigzag prints which are coveted worldwide and which retail in high-end stores for prices in the thousands.

Originally started by Rosita Missoni, now 80, and her husband, Ottavio, in 1953, today the fashion house is led by their daughter, Angela, age 52, and granddaughter, Margherita, age 28.

The Missoni women, and the clothing they create, are great examples of inter-generational style. In a recent interview with Net-a-Porter Magazine, the mother-daughter duo Angela and Margherita explain how their designs are "transgenerational."

The three generations of Missoni designing women could be the brand's best advertisement, modeling how their fashions can be worn by women in their 80s, 50s or 20s. They serve as an inspiring example of how great style is timeless, and ageless!
